10. The Bishop’s Wife

Making its way to the top ten is the Bishop’s Wife. When Bishop Henry Brougham asks heaven for help after failing to generate enough money for a cathedral, he gets visited by an angel named Dudley. Henry doesn’t believe in him initially. It only gets worse after that because he eventually gets angry and frustrated at him when he makes his way not only to the Bishop’s house but also wins his wife’s attention. 9. While You Were Sleeping

Even if you just watch movies on Kodi during Christmas, this love story/drama is equally watchable in July.  Sandra Bullock plays the role of a transit worker who saves his crush (played by Peter Callaghan) from certain death. But as Peter ends up in a coma, his family takes Bullock as her fiancée and start sharing things with her like a family member. The plot takes a twist when Bullock starts developing feelings for Peter’s brother (played by Bill Pullman).

On the eighth spot is the Will Ferrell Starrer, Elf. The movies follow the misadventures of Buddy he first ends up at the North Pole as a kid where he gets raised by Santa’s trusty elves and then unable to gel in with the crew, returns to NY in search of his old man. 7. A Christmas Carol

Can’t put up all the Christmas Carol mocks without the real deal, right? So this is it, a live-action version of the original. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) acting all grumpy when until he gets visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner which follows Scrooge being visited by the spirits that take him on a journey across time hoping Scrooge will become a better person. Carrey being the genius feels like the perfect person to play Scrooge. You don’t want to miss out on yet another incredible performance.

6. A Charlie Brown Christmas

What’s a Christmas without A Charlie Brown Christmas? It’s we all grew up watching and it’s what completes the Christmas day. A Charlie Brown Christmas is about Charlie and how he’s all sad and there seems to be nothing that could cheer him up. So when Lucy presents to him the possibility of directing a Christmas play, Charlie accepts it in the hopes of finally finding the spirit of the season. Much to his dismay, even that doesn’t really work out until the final piece for the play is brought in, a half-dead Christmas tree. Despite others insisting Charlie take up better alternatives, Charlie is persistent about the same tree.

5. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Another tale of a Grumpy guy trying to find the spirit of Christmas. What makes this so good is that it’s been more than 50 years and it’s still so relatable and feels so refreshing every time you watch it.

The story begins with a green hermit feeling miserable and when he sees others enjoying the Christmas time near his place, he plans on stealing their presents. So the guy dresses up as Santa and does the very opposite of what Santa does by stealing their Christmas.

4. A Nightmare Before Christmas

This Tim Burton classic is ghoulish and dark yet cheerful and magical at the same time. The animated movie is about Jack Skellington who is the undisputed King of the Halloween world. When he finds his way to Christmas town, a place that’s totally the opposite and where everything is so happy and cheerful, Skellington decides to take over by kidnapping the Santa.

3. Miracle on the 34th Street

Miracle on the 34th Street is on the third position because it’s an age-old classic. This golden age classic is about Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) claiming to be the actual Santa shortly after filling in for an intoxicated Santa. With those claims, Kris’ sanity and authenticity start getting questioned. Watch the whole movie to know if Kris really was the Santa.

2. A Christmas Story

On number two, is A Christmas Story. A Christmas Story is a movie starring Peter Billingsley portraying Ralphie Parker who just wishes to have a Red Ryder air rifle. It seems even the simplest demands are often taken for granted as would be the case with Ralphie who gets bullied both by a local kid (Zack Ward) as well as his dad (Darren McGavin).
