EU to ban Fully-Loaded Kodi Boxes. Are there any Kodi alternatives?

A recent decision by the European Court of Justice is surely going to hit the suppliers of such devices hard. Consequently, the decision should affect Android and Kodi users at large in Europe. The decision states that:
“Hyperlinks are posted for profit, it may be expected that the person who posted such a link should carry out the checks necessary to ensure that the work concerned is not illegally published.”
It is worth noting that Kodi does not offer any illegal web content to its users. The package comes with reduced prices for TV shows, movies, and other entertainment programs.
Such a decision on behalf of the European Court will encourage BREIN and other anti-piracy groups to continue with their efforts. Soon after the decision, BREIN has threatened the suppliers of fully-loaded Kodi Boxes of legal action.
“BREIN has written letters to suppliers of IPTV subscriptions to warn them that they are required to verify beforehand whether the sources for the IPTV channels they use are legal. If the suppliers are not willing to do so, then BREIN will institute court proceedings.”
Is There a Way Around the Law?
As always, there is a gaping loophole in this newly passed law. The ban only applies only to “loaded” Kodi boxes that have a ton of pre-installed applications that offer free TV service. So, you can purchase empty Kodi boxes and then customize them yourself to watch your favorite TV shows, sports events and what not!
