Ivacy EasyConnect is the  special windows software aimed to help you with solving the following problems:

• bypassing restrictions of your corporate or university firewall
• browsing safely in a hostile environment (such as wi-fi connection in hotel or airport)
• connecting to Ivacy without setting up a traditional PPTP/IPSec VPN



What’s so special about EasyConnect and why do I need it?

There are a plenty of issues with traditional VPN protocols, such as PPTP and IPSec:

• You need administrator privileges to set up a connection
• If you are behind firewall or proxy, VPN may not work
• You dont want to leave any trace of your networking activities on public computer

Let’s see how EasyConnect deals with these issues:

• Requires no installation
• Administrator privileges aren't needed.
• Coud traverse even the very restrictive firewall or proxy
• Leaves no traces on your PC.

Nobody will ever know which sites you visit or how much messages via IM you send.

In fact, the only thing visible to your IT department, Wi-Fi hotspot administrators or any other eavesdropper is a flow of traffic between your PC and one of Ivacy network entry points.

How does EasyConnect work?

1. You start EasyConnect application, enter your Ivacy login and password (the ones you’ve chosen during the registration with Ivacy.com).

2. If you are behind the corporate firewall and proxy, you need to click on Setup button and enter the address and port of this proxy (proxy.yourcompany.com:3128, for example).

3. Press Connect. EasyConnect will establish a secure, AES-128 encrypted channel to the Ivacy network cloud and starts a local proxy on port 8080.

4. You change your browser (or IM client) configuration so they use EasyConnect proxy.
5. That’s all!

Ivacy EasyConnect Suite

Ivacy EasyConnect Suite is a special software package, aimed at our non-geek users. This is, basically, an Ivacy EasyConnect with Mozilla Firefox 3.0.3 Portable Edition, preconfigured to use Ivacy EasyConnect.



Here is the quick instructions on using it:

1. Download IvacyEasyConnectSuite.exe.

2. Plug in your USB flash drive and make sure that you have ~50Mb of free space on it.

3. Start IvacyEasyConnectSuite.exe. In the Destination folder select your flash drive and press Install.
4. Once installation is complete, you will see IvacyEasyConnectSuite folder on your flash drive.
5. No matter where you are — at work, at the library, at the campus, you can always plug this flash drive, start IvacyEasyConnect.exe, connect to Ivacy, and start FirefoxPortable.exe to enjoy safe and secure browsing environment without any restrictions.

Your browsing history and your Ivacy credentials are stored on the same flash drive. In other words, absolutely no traces of your activities would be left on any PC where you use IvacyEasyConnect Suite.
